Tony Buzan Speed Reading

Through the Tony Buzan Speed Reading program a person has the chance to be able to significantly read at a faster rate. The level of overall retention improves regardless if the information is something a person is familiar with or not. What makes this program different is that it is all in a book. With so many people being on the go today it can be taken just about anywhere.

The secret to being able to speed read involves having the time to do the program and to go over various exercises. This book means that you can take a break from being around the computer all day. Most of us do that too much for work so we don’t want to use it as a medium for learning too.

The program is promoted as one that helps you to:

  • Learn how to speed read at your own pace
  • Learn through various exercises that allow you to time yourself
  • Prevent having to read materials more than once to get the context of it
  • Assist with being able to stay focused on reading materials instead of the mind wondering

The beginning chapters of the Tony Buzan Speed Reading book offer a strong foundation about what to expect from the process of learning how to speed read. It offers tips, ideas, and methods that can help with someone being able to stay motivated and take away the real value of this program.

However, those that like a computer based learning environment may find that it is more challenging to do it all with a book. It all comes down to the overall learning style. The book can be technical in areas too which means it can be overwhelming for some people to grasp all of the given concepts. Still, it is worth checking into to find out if it may be the right match for you or not when it comes to the goals you set for speed reading.

The Tony Buzan Speed Reading book contains 192 pages of information. It has been revised and updated several times so look for a newer version. This will allow you to fully benefit from the very best overall techniques. This format of learning how to speed read is also less expensive than buying a software program.

Overall, I’m not too fond of this product though because it dwelves into the theory a little too much for my liking. However, if you’re the type that likes to read, then it should not be an issue at all. Tony Buzan is the undisputed master of mind mapping, but for speed reading, I’ve seen better programs.
